I think that it's not fault of Google that people cannot secure their wi-fi networks. If you do not secure your network do not be surprised that someone is sniffing your (in fact) public network. And please don't be surprised if one day you will loose access to your e-mail, social networks sites and so on.

I will say even more: I think that government of France should fine those ignorant bastards for not protecting their internet connection. Why? Because if some evil terrorist would hack through their network they would be guilty of his crime(s).

On the other side IT giants like to ignore our right to privacy and they sell our personal info to every corporation that gives them money. But in this particular case I think Google is innocent and should not pay any fines.

Yes, that’s the fact. It’s all about the Google.
Some people said that before Google there wasn’t Internet at all. That’s partly true. I can surely bet with you that before Google appear only some of us was able to use Internet properly. But what the Google is? It’s an American public corporation invested in Internet-search, cloud-computing and other technologies strongly related with IT development. The company was created on September ’98 by Larry Page and Sergey Brin often called “Google guys”. The first public offering appeared on August 2004 and simultaneously they’ve made an agreement to work together next 20 years. Main statement and mission is "to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful" and also unofficial slogan is “Don’t be evil”. They’ve organized everything that we can use now. Nowadays they’ve lunched hundreds of application used all over the world.
After all, nobody can imagine him or herself the proper day without the Google.
Personally I observed it once. There was a day when Google stopped for over two hours – and there was simply a chaos :)
Do you remember and can you point any other Web based search engines before Google? Because I had to think a bit before the answer…

First of all I would like to notice that it's really worth to see the great list of Art and Design documentaries if somebody missed it.
Maybe some of you have seen "Exit through the gift shop"..it's about Banksy - the street artist, very popular lately. His grafitti works became part of traditional art. Shows as paintings inside the gallerys. Although Banksy remains anonymous. There are two photos of him but the problem is that each one present totally different person.:) so maybe because of this whole mystery that surrounds him, he became soo famous or rather his works.
I'm glad graffiti art becomes more widely appreciated. I like this definition of it, posted below the last title "artistic expression employed around the world." I agree - It is not vandalism, it's part of the landscape, makes our surrounding more fascinating.)
Objectified seems to be interesting as well, movie about other things which become part of our lifes, just like street arts..but maybe even closer us.
And one more which intrigued me is "Between the folds: Exploring Origami"
It shows as somebody wrote below the title "connection between art, science and philospophy" Picture looks also enough interesting in my opinion to convince people to see this movie.
i think documentaries especially about art can be very useful, movies like these I mentioned shows us a lot more,,we can see what is behind the curtain, backstage of a great art, isn't it sound great:) i like this kind of movies, hope you'll check out 'my' list.

I've never had a summer jobs so I don't know how it looks like. But when I read this article I conclude that summer jobs may be a good idea for someone who want only earn some money and make it quickly. I prefer a normal job - what we can do by a month?

I’ve already heard about this system some time ago but this article gives a lot of interesting information. On the one hand there were many mistakes, accidents etc. but on the other hand there were a lot of “safe switches” even in this “Dead Hand” system.
Other thing is that it shouldn’t be called “Doomsday Device”, I’d rather say that its safety mechanism to ensure counterattack, this article has good examples how it could prevent nuclear war.
Overall I think people are too paranoid about everything with “Nuclear” in name, from power plants to ICBMs, everything has pros and cons.

Who said that summer jobs offer earn "quick" or "easy" money? I prefer normal job because, in my opinion summer jobs (especially in abroad) allow earn pretty much money, BUT most of it are spend for travel, hotel/hostel, food, bills etc.
So I think summer jobs is not very profitable...

  14. Michał,

Travelling abroad for a short period you are set to earn more you save as many as possible and in fact, money can see. But if you stay longer than three months, can not stand the pressure of continuous saving. You begin to spend to improve your mood:)

    So at least I have.

As for the constant work is great but not for full-time students / / /

These ice cubes are great. Simple and grat idea. The best, form me, is shark fin cube.
It's Good for ex. in a birthday party when you have time to prepare a fancy ice. Definetely not for clubs and restaurants...

Sometimes I watch Dzień Dobry TVN which has new series called 'Womens Business'. These ice cubes remembers mi that. It could be a grat idea to start production in Poland, because I haven't seen something like that. Idea not only for woman :-)

One thing about those tips was worth read it (I presume so, because I didn't hear it yet), (audio) - book: “Now, Discover Your Strengths”. I always say: you can never have too much audiobooks on your portable audio player. :)
I think that most valuable tip is that you have to be adaptive and flexible to be successful businessmen and of course stubborn to success.

Everyone who I know that worked at summer job, worked for his relative (as far as I remember). I did not like the article because it was full of wordiness. It talks about summer job like it would deterimen how you turn out later in your life. I think that no-one is treating summer job that seriously like the author of this article.

  19. @s8939:

Banksy was recently in USA and he even co-created one of the episodes from current season of The Simpsons. Also there was several "Banksy" tags/graffitis on the walls in the show. :)

Uff I'm happy that I don't drink coffee. Some people can't live without this one. Yes it's true we are awake for a few minutes when we drink coffee but this isn't solution for me. It's poison and drug. Caffeine makes you addicted and you have to drink coffee everyday. This isn't for me, I know my body and I know how I can help myself without harmful drugs.

I love novelty ice cubes. They're so silly and a great conversation starter. Not very sure what exactly the aspect of unusually shaped ice cubes make me like them, but I do. Who wouldn't want to include vampire teeth-shaped ice cubes for some horror movie themed party or something? I think it would make a great joke.

Also the ice shot glasses are very interesting.

I wouldn't have normally thought ice would have another function other than cooling a drink. But it makes me wonder... What happens to the melting ice-shaped “glass” once you've had enough to drink? Would it be easy to make a mess?

    @Sebastian Zebrowski

I didn't know Banksy helped make a Simpson's show. Wow, I'll be needing to search that. I really want to see that episode now. Almost universally disliked by most forms of authorities, and yet now I read he's done work for one of the longest playing US television shows? I think that's great.

    ReplyDelete
  22. now I want to see it also,, didn't know works of Banksy were used in 'TheSimpsons' strange..but interetsing, I'm curious how it looked, all fit together I guess, this show is kind of specific just like art of Banksy.)

It is nice to see such an interesting things like this. For the most I like origami art. Such a complicated paper constructions as we have seen in part 2, are just amazing. If you are also keen on this kind of works made of paper I recommend you my favourite web side www.papercrave.com. They add new projects everyday. Have a glance on it- it is splendid.

    It's "the Simpsons Season 22 Episode 3".

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2010/oct/11/banksy-the-simpsons-bart

The Simpsons intro directed by Banksy. It shows a dark side of consumer culture. Can You see rats and wall-tags?

The most interesting fact for me is that this intro was one of the most closely guarded secrets in US television!

  25. i mean not intro, but the production of the intro had been the most closely guarded secret.. :)
