Questions to discuss:

1.Do you know any more tall buildings around the Word?
2.Find some more buildings where Spiderman climb on.
3.Do you like Big buldings?
4.If you have a choice, you would live in those big buildings or some small one?

  1. There is also an highest and biggest hotel ever, placed in Dubai - Burj Al Arab "Arab Building". So far the one which received 7 stars. It has 321 m height and it's an iconic structure whose shape is like the sail of a ship.

    See: http://www.jumeirah.com/en/Hotels-and-Resorts/Destinations/Dubai/Burj-Al-Arab/

It's just amazing. The story is when developer has already finished to install Air Condition, they've started to think about turning it on. That process took few months to be implemented because of the 180 m height atrium. When they turned on A/C on the top of atrium observed clouds formation (inside the building) and after few moments on the upper floors started to rain.

Luxury means that there're only bedroom suites. 202 suites on 60 floors. The smallest one is 168m^2 and the biggest 780m^2.

Personally I prefer small buildings. But if I were living in a skyscraper, it would be on the last floor.

  3. Yes, I heard and write about it in my presentation about WTC memorial. One of the new WTC Towers - Freedom Tower will have 541,32 meters;)

I like "Big buldings". I like to look at them only, I don;t want to live in such high buldings. Unless on the top floor where I can make barbecue

  4. Really nice presentation, I like such things. I am impressed what a man can build, and how many effort must be put to build so high buildings. It would be good to see such building live - not mentioning to get to the top floor of it and admire beautiful view.
Once I watched a programme on Discovery Channel about huge constructions - there was a reportage about building which was going to be built in Shanghai. Unofrtunalety I can not remember how high it would be, but I do remember that it was estimated to accommodate around 250k people (such idea was because there is lack of ground in Shanghai and a lot of people). It was really interesting programme but it was just a project and I do not know if it is still developed.

  5. Nice presentation but I even saw similar but not the same article in the magazine "21st century". It is a pity that in Poland we don't have tall buildings, which we can be proud of. Finally, the higher the building is, than it was more difficult to build.

  6. If I have a choice, I would live in small one for sure. I hate high buildings, I feel uncomfortable inside.

It is a pity that in Poland we don't have tall buildings, which we can be proud of???

I am not sure if it's really a big deal. Is it a real thing to be proud? I don't think so. We have a different things but maybe we are not able to give credit to it.

It is a really nice presentation.:)
